Greystone Literary primarily represents authors of quality non-fiction books with a strong interest in the fields of psychology, health, self help, social justice, ethnic/gay/lesbian studies, compelling biographies, popular science, spirituality, history, culture, business, sexuality, relationships and parenting. The Agent's Role and Fees
My role as agent is to submit well crafted and targeted projects to editors, negotiate deals on your behalf and act as the author's advocate from contract negotiations thru publication. As an agent, I receive a standard 15% commission on earnings from the submitted work from the moment of your first advance to your final royalty check. In accordance with AAR guidelines, I do not charge a reading fee and generate my income based on the commision structure outlined above. Reimbursement is required for such expenses as photocopying and overnight deliveries these fees are outlined in my agency agreement letter and are standard for the industry.
Bio
Michael Mancilla has been nominated for the Lambda Literary Award for his non-fiction writing. He is a graduate of NYU's Publishing Program for Literary Agents where he studied with The Peter Rubie Literary Agency.
How to Submit a Query
Please submit a one page query that ideally begins with an irresistible opening, and includes any expertise or experience you possess that makes you uniquely qualified to write this book.
